Bio: DIANE CORDER Comedian/Actress Diane Corder is well known in the entertainment industry as the “Original Diva of Comedy” with her colorful wigs and outlandish style of comedy that keeps her audience laughing! Diane has entertained and excited audiences professionally with her comedy via stage, television, radio and film since 1989 however, she’s been funny her entire life! It has been said, “She was even born at a card party telling jokes”. Her audience knows when they hear her trademark saying “Deez Just Jokes” their response is “Diane Corder Says Dat”! Diane has performed on the “Best of Jenny Jones Show”, Russell Simmon’s “Def Comedy Jam All-stars”, BET Comic View All- Stars, ABC Good Morning (Cleveland, OH), “Pat Williams Comedy Hour”, Fox TV “Women in Comedy with Wanda Wells”, the 2004 new season of BET Comic View Back by Popular Demand” & “Showtime at the Apollo Celebrity Comics”. Diane has traveled nationally and internationally making people laugh performing with some of entertainment’s greatest stars such as on the Rob Allen’s European Tour and “Ladies Can Do This”, “Bernie Mac on the Road Tour”, “Steve Harvey and Friends”, Arnez J, “Cedric the Entertainer”, Adele Givens, Kenny Howell, Tony Sculfield, Mo’Nique, Somemore, Ray Silkman, The National Gospel Sage Play “Lord, Why Do I keep Choosing The Wrong Man” in addition to co-hosting the Sister 2 Sister Magazine Award”. Diane’s not only a talented comedienne with a truelove for comedy she has always helped other comedians by providing an avenue for Them to showcase and groom their skills. Diane managed one of Chicago’s hottest comedy clubs, The Comedy Klik for over seven years. She then took her gift on the road and created another comedy venue with Comedy on 36 Street: in Charlotte, NC and “Laugh with Diane” at Lemonts in Rockford, IL. hosting “Sip & Giggle with Diane” every Tuesday and the well known Red Peppers Masquerade in Chicago, IL when she is not on the road performing. However, the road for Diane has not always been filled with laughter. In 1999 Diane collapsed on stage while performing at Chris Tucker’s Comedy Club in Atlanta, Ga. She was rushed to the hospital and it was discovered that she experienced not one but three aneurysms which left her in a comma, blind and paralyzed on her left side but God brought her back to us. Then on February 11, 2003, her daughter, Danielle, was found murdered in the back seat of her car in Hammond, IN., leaving behind a 15 month old daughter, Destiny. This also almost took Diane away froM us but again God brought her back to us. Diane keeps the memories of Danielle in her heart and in her shows by performing with a rhinestone stainless steel glass that’s inscribes “An unbreakable love, Danielle”! Diane has the will to live and bring laughter to one’s life because of her daughter, DeLisa, her granddaughter, Destiny and God! Diane is the proud recipient of the African American Women in Performance “Comedy Award” and the 2004 Grass Roots Hertiage Award Diane Corder is truly one of God’s Greatest Gifts blessed with the gift of Humor. Diane says “Laughter is the best sound in the world especially when it comes form something I said or did”. Remember when you hear the saying “Deez Just Jokes” say “Diane Corder Says Dat”!
